Maine Guest House

Built as part of a family compound on an island off the coast of Maine, this new three-car garage features a guest suite on the upper level. Vaulted ceilings and extensive use of wood throughout give this 1,200 square foot guest house an open, yet warm feel. A see-through fireplace and entertainment unit serve to separate the sleeping area from the living space and the siting of the new structure maintains a secondary relationship to the main house, yet takes full advantage of the views toward the bay.
