Penza Associates Architects has been involved in several additions and renovations to this house over the past several years. The first addition was built partially on top of the foundation of a previous addition to the house. The program included a family room, a billiards room, a changing room / bathroom and kitchenette to serve the pool, a master bathroom and dressing areas, as well as an exercise room on the second floor. The focal point of the family room is a fireplace and entertainment unit that forms an arched clerestory window, which allows light and view, yet visually blocks the existing mechanical units immediately behind it on the exterior. PAA has also designed a spectacular conservatory, kitchen and garage addition on the opposite end of the house.
