Historic Homeland Residence

In order for an 80 year-old home in a beautiful historic neighborhood to become more livable for a growing family, all four sides of the home were modified and a new detached garage was constructed. A bay window was added in front for added character. A side elevation included the addition of a sunny breakfast nook and a much needed mudroom. A small addition in the rear was constructed to resolve the fact that the original garage and been turned into a family room. To help orient the family room towards the garden and terrace, a small window was replaced with a pair of French doors to the terrace.
