Open-Air Pool House

An open-air pool house with a distinctly Oriental feel complements the adjacent contemporary house. Nestled into a hill and perched above a free-form swimming pool, the craftsmanship of the pool house itself, as well as the surrounding views, are a delight to behold.

The flagstone floor has been integrated with stone pool walks for a seamless inside/outside transition. Cedar posts and roof trusses form a beautiful open structure that provides protection from the elements but is otherwise open and airy. A functional vanity and shower is enclosed on its sides while remaining open to the structure above. The vanity design, which provides open views to the garden beyond, was inspired by a trip to Singapore's Orchid Gardens.
