Hudson Street

Originally two separate residences, the property was altered significantly in the distant past to create first floor retail with a residence above (see Before photo). Our task was to reverse this alteration and to add a third level as well.  Typical of other rowhouses on the street, these two will return to their original twelve foot width but each will have three bedrooms and two baths on the upper floors, a living/dining/kitchen area on the ground floor and a partial basement, excavated to provide adequate headroom for use as a laundry and mechanical room. Full-height first story bays with doorways are to be provided in lieu of the existing display windows and single entrance. As a bonus, each is to have a rooftop deck 12’-0” wide by 18’-9”, accessible from the rear of the third floor by a spiral stair.
