| The League / Main Street
Penza Associates Architects has provided design services for The League for a number of years. Our most recent project for this client was the renovation of the main circulation spine of the building, now known as Main Street. The project also included the relocation of reception and waiting areas and the relocation and expansion of Vocational Services.
Our design solution brings lights, color and life into an area that was previously dark and shabby in appearance. A blending of natural wood tones with greens, yellows and soft off-whites brightens the day for staff and clients alike. Linoleum floors offer the benefits of a "green" material, including ease of maintenance, attractive appearance and durability. The walls (that previously had been painted concrete block) are now covered in a "softer" textured fiberglass fabric that is paintable and easily repaired. The natural wood pilasters announce major node points along the route of Main Street and tend to break up the tedium of a very long corridor.
