The Oregon General Store
This renovation was managed by Jeffrey Penza under Baukhages and Associates and saved an historic landmark, built in the early 1800's, from years of neglect and decay. Portions of the building were about to collapse and there was significant water infiltration. A section of the building which had been used as a General Store was restored to its former condition. The building is now occupied by a very charming and successful restaurant. The building was renovated under the National Register of Historic Places Guidelines and was successfully nominated as an Historic Landmark. It also won an Honorable Mention in the Builders Choice Design and Planning Awards.
